BHUBANESHWAR - Maoist rebels Thursday reportedly released Malkangiri District Collector R. Vineel Krishna in Orissa after over a week in captivity, sources said.
BHUBANESWAR - Agreeing to one of the new demands put forward by Maoists, the Orissa government Thursday rushed two mediators to Malkangiri to negotiate the release of Malkangiri District Collector R. Vineel Krishna, official sources here said.

Negotiations hit a roadblock after the rebels set new conditions, including setting free some more Maoist leaders from jail.
