Maoist killed in Jharkhand

RANCHI - A Maoist activist was gunned down in Jharkhand’s Khuti district and four rebels were arrested in Palamau district Saturday, police said.
According to a police official, the Maoist was killed in a gun battle with police in Moranburu jungle of Khuti, around 35 km from Ranchi. A Maoist camp was also destroyed during the operation.
In Palamau, police arrested four rebels belonging to a small Maoist organisation, Jharkhand Prastuti Committee (JPC) from Lesliganj area. A revolver and live cartridges were seized from the arrested rebels.
