LOS ANGELES (Gaea Times.com) Death is often preferable over life at times. Pamela Smart while on national television said that she finds death more preferable than spending twenty years of her life in prison. Pamela Smart was convicted in 1990, for involvement in the murder of her husband. The investigation had found that Pamela smart had sexual relationships with William Flynn, a 16 year old student at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, where she was the school’s media coordinator. She used him to have her husband murdered in cold blood. The horrific incident had earned her a life sentence with no parole.

She however pleads innocence saying that she never planned anything and that she never meant her husband to die. When questioned about what she felt during the first time that the accusations were leveled against her, she said she wasn’t worried about it then, as she knew that she was innocent. Pamela Smart said that it appeared to her at that time that the law authorities would find out that she is innocent and let her go. No such thing happened and she was found guilty of the charges. The whole scandal was heavily covered by the media from beginning to end.

Pamela Smart herself said that the whole incident was a live soap opera to the people, thanks to extensive media coverage. Pamela Smart expressed her deep regret for the way things happened the, she said that if her husband was still alive, she would have apologized to him for whatever happened. Pamela Smart’s mother said that everyone makes mistakes (having an affair with the teenager) but it does not mean that they would have to carry the burden their entire life.
