Maoist arrested in Jharkhand

RANCHI - A Maoist who specialized in making rocket launchers has been arrested in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, an official said Sunday, claiming it was a big success for police.

Nalla Bhikshapati alias Raviji was arrested from Dudur village, around 170 km from here, Saturday.

“He is an expert in making rocket launchers, explosive and landmines among others. The arres is a big success for the state police,” a police official said.

Nalla is a member of the Central Technical Committee of the Communist Party of India-Maoist. He is a resident of Tatikaila village in Andhra Pradesh’s Warrangal district. He was active in Jharkhand since 2006.

As many as 25 gelatin sticks, 10 detonators and a flash gun camera were seized after his arrest.
