Bishop Eddie Long gets Involved in a Sex Scandal!

GEORGIA (GaeaTimes.com) — In a shocking development, two separate lawsuits were filed on late Tuesday against Bishop Eddie Long, of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The lawsuits have accused the top church leader of sexual misconduct.

Two former member of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has claimed that Bishop Long has used his power at the church to force two men into committing sexual acts. CNN provided a few quotations from the legal docs. One of the men claims that

“Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with (him) including kissing, massaging, masturbating of (the) plaintiff by defendant Long and oral sexual contact…”.

The Atlantian pastor was known for his anti-gay activities and is somewhat treated as a celebrity on the national Christian scene. According to the suit, the two men were members of a program called Spiritual Sons, which afforded them the luxury of traveling on private jets, and meeting famous people.

One of Long’s lawyer has said that the lawsuit is nothing but an attempted “shakedown for money,” and even attacked the credibility of his accusers. A few months ago, one of the men who filed the lawsuits, was arrested for allegedly burglarizing Long’s office. But attorney B.J. Bernstein says the thefts were an attempt to get back at the Bishop for manipulating him into the alleged inappropriate relationship.
