Zetas Drug Gang Held Up for 72 Killings

MEXICO (GaeaTimes,com) — Zetas drug gang has produced an air of violence and fear after their ruthless killing of 72 migrants from Central and South America. Mexican troops discovered the bodies of 72 people in a remote ranch in Tamaulipas state, 90 miles from the Texas border. The dead bodies of the migrants echoed the plight of the innocent lives lost in the Mexico’s bloody drug war.

Information was based largely on testimony of the single survivor among the migrants. Officers found 58 men and 14 women ruthlessly slaughtered. After a series of firefights three gunmen and a marine died. One suspected gang member was arrested.

Reports stated that Zetas are a notorious drug gang in Mexico. They have a vast criminal and smuggling records. They are accused of kidnapping migrants, extorting them for money and forcing them to carry narcotics across the border.
