LUCKNOW - The case relating to the terrorist attack on a paramilitary camp in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur district, in which Fahim Ansari, recently acquitted in the Mumbai 26/11 case, is one of the accused, will be heard July 19.

The district court here Wednesday listed the case for July 19, as Ansari and six others accused of involvement in the Dec 31, 2007 attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp, were produced before the court amid heavy security.

Seven CRPF personnel and a civilian were killed in the attack.

Ansari’s counsel Mohammed Shohaib moved an application seeking the judgment order of the special court in the Mumbai 26/11 case be put on record.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) had filed an additional chargesheet against Ansari June 16 in the court.

Though the ATS officials had declined to divulge anything about the additional chargesheet, sources said it charged Ansari with hiding evidences and not cooperating in the investigations.

Ansari was taken to Mumbai in December 2008, almost 10 months after his arrest, after it came to light that the handlers of the 26/11 used maps seized from him.
