Maoist arrested in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A member of the banned Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) has been arrested in the capital, police said Friday.
Abdul Salim, who runs an NGO here, was arrested from the R.K. Puram area of south Delhi by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.
He was wanted in several criminal cases in Surat, Gujarat, a police officer said.
According to police, Salim was connected with the People’s War Group till 2004 and used to recruit people for the organisation.
