Abducted UN workers released in Afghanistan

KABUL - Five United Nations staff kidnapped by militants in Afghanistan a month ago were released in a military operation Monday, an official said.

“Following an operation against militants in Dahnai Ghori district, all the five local employees of the world body were set free at 4:30 p.m. and they are in good health,” General Murad Ali Murad, commander of Afghan army in the northern region, told Xinhua.
