Nine killed in Baghdad attacks

BAGHDAD - Nine people were killed and 23 wounded in a series of attacks in the Iraqi capital early Monday, an interior ministry source said.

The attacks included six shootings targeting checkpoints and three roadside bombs, Xinhua reported quoting the source.

The report said the attackers used silenced weapons in attacks on the six checkpoints, which were attacked at dawn.
