KUNDUZ - Four Taliban militants were killed Saturday in an air strike in northern Afghanistan, an official said.

The incident took place in Kunduz province.

“Taliban rebels were attempting to take an explosives-laden car to Kunduz city from their hideouts in Charadar district in the wee hours of Saturday. Security forces have called for air power to attack the militants,” provincial police chief Abdul Razaq Yaqubi told Xinhua.

Charadar district is a stronghold of Taliban militants.
