BAGHDAD - A college student was killed and 50 injured Sunday in a bomb blast in Iraq’s Mosul city, a police source said.

The blast took place in the morning when many buses carrying college students arrived at the Kokejli area in eastern Mosul, the source told Xinhua.

The attacks apparently were aimed at re-igniting ethnic and sectarian conflicts.

Christians in Iraq are a minority group. They live in Baghdad and the northern provinces.
