PATNA - Suspected Maoists have killed two villagers in Bihar’s Jamui district, police said Tuesday.

Arjun Paswan and Vishnudeo Yadav, residents of Kishanpur village, about 200 km from here, were abducted by about 50 rebels Monday night.

“Their bodies were found Tuesday morning in a forest near the village,” a police official said.

Paswan was a member of the village council while Yadav was associated with the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in the village.

Police are investigating their deaths and have launched a search operation for the Maoists, the official said.
