BHUBANESWAR - Maoists early Monday shot dead a sawmill owner in a village in Orissa’s Mayurbhanj district and described him as an exploiter of the poor, police said.

About five rebels dragged 50-year-old Goutam Hotai out of his home in Kathasirisa village, some 300 km from here, and shot him dead near his house, a police official told IANS.

The ultras left some posters at the site that described Hotai as an exploiter, he added.
