Pakistan minister gets dossier on Mumbai terror attacks

ISLAMABAD - A dossier on Mumbai terror attacks given to the Pakistani officials by New Delhi at the recent foreign secretary level talks was Friday handed over to Interior Minister Rehman Malik, a media report said.

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik handed over the document to Malik at his office, the Online news agency reported.

The dossier was handed over to Pakistani officials by India during foreign secretary-level talks in New Delhi Feb 25.

According to sources privy to the meeting, in the dossier India has given additional information regarding probe into the attacks, including mobile phone conversations among the criminals and interrogation of some important officials.

Pakistan has taken into custody seven criminals in connection with Mumbai attacks and legal action is in progress against them, Malik said, adding that evidences have been collected to indict them and court action is awaited and we cannot interfere in it.

He said India should wait for the court verdict and Pakistan has extended cooperation regarding probe into the attacks.

The foreign secretary has given a detailed briefing to Malik about the Indian stance regarding the probe into the attacks as well as new demands, the report said.
