Blast rocks Pakistani city

ISLAMABAD - Several vehicles and shops were destroyed in a blast in Pakistan’s northwestern Mingora city Monday, a media report said.

The blast took place at a bus station in Nishat Chowk, destroying six shops and eight vehicles, Dawn newspaper reported on its website.

Mingora city is located in the Swat district of North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

Authorities have cordoned off the area and rescue efforts are underway.
