SANA’A - At least seven people, including two soldiers, were killed and several others injured in a landmine blast in the north-western province of Saada, witnesses said.

Witnesses told DPA that an anti-armour mine went off as an army unit was clearing a mine field in al-Oqab district west of the provincial capital of Saada.

Two soldiers and three tribesmen were killed instantly, they said.

Among the dead were also three representatives of the Houthi Shiite rebel group in a committee monitoring a cease-fire between the rebels and government forces.
