ISLAMABAD - At least 2 persons were killed and 12 injured Sunday as a powerful blast ripped through a crowded market place in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province.

The blast occurred in a rickshaw in the Central Chowk area in Dadu district, about 225 km from the provincial capital Karachi, Geo news reported quoting police sources.

The blast also shattered the windowpanes of closely located shops and buildings and standing vehicles, officials said.

Meanwhile, the local residents caught a suspected person from the blast site and handed him over to police, eyewitnesses said.
