ISLAMABAD - Two back-to-back bombings ripped through a police training centre in Pakistan’s restive northwestern region Thursday killing four policemen, officials said.

“There were two blasts with a difference of few minutes,” said Sardar Mohammad Abbas, the top civil administrator in Bannu district. “We are carrying out rescue and relief operations.”

An official at Bannu’s state-run hospital said four bodies and 16 injured have been moved there. “Five of the injured are in critical condition,” the official said.
