BHUBANESWAR - Two Maoists were nabbed during a raid on a rebel camp in the Kalimela area of Malkanagiri district of Orissa Saturday, police said.

“We have nabbed two Maoists during a joint combing operation of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) and Special Operations Group (SOG) at Sudhakunta in Kalimela area of the district,” said Awinash Kumar, Sub Divisional Police Officer of Malkanagir, over 600 km from here.

However, many other Maoists managed to flee the camp. Police are interrogating the nabbed ultras — Nandapodi allias Bhima from Tukumatka village and Deva Madkami from Kanaguda village of the district — to get further details.

They have confessed their involvement in several cases in the area, police said.
