Man killed by Maoists in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR - Maoist guerrillas have killed one person in Sundergarh district of Orissa, police said Sunday.

Johan Munda, a contract worker from Banke village, was killed Saturday.

“He was abducted by Maoists when he was on his way to a church Friday. He was killed and his body was recovered Saturday,” a police officer said.

A Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) leader, Thomas Munda, was killed by Maoists in a similar way Friday. He was abducted from the mining areas of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) at Kalta in Banai sub-division of Sundergarh district.
