NEW DELHI - India Monday said terrorist forces “nurtured” on Pakistan’s territory are harmful to them as much as India, and also expressed concern about its nuclear arsenal falling into the “wrong hands”.

“In our relations with Pakistan, we have been constantly warning that whatever terrorist forces they are nurturing on their soil will be detrimental to their security. It is harming them as much as it is harming us. It is time for Pakistan to wake up,” Minister of State for Defence M.M Pallam Raju told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

“Post 26/11, we have been coordinating in more comprehensive manner to get an appropriate response. We are adequately prepared to deal with any situation,” he added.

On reports of tunnels being built on Pakistani side of India-Pakistan border, Pallam Raju said: “Every nation has right to defend itself but we have concerns about Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal falling into wrong hands. Hope the government takes steps to ensure that it does not falls into wrong hands.”
