Two killed in Kashmir gunfight (Lead, Superseding earlier story)

SRINAGAR - Two separatist guerrillas were killed and three security personnel were injured in a gunfight that ended Thursday morning in Jammu and Kashmir\’s Kulgam district, police said.

The slain guerrillas belong to the Hizbul Mujahideen, a police officer said. An earlier report mistakenly said that all five people were killed.

The fighting broke out Wednesday evening when security forces surrounded a house in Tangmarg Watu village, about 70 km from the summer capital Srinagar.
