Four injured in Kashmir attack, gun battle on

SRINAGAR - Four men, including a police constable, were injured Wednesday after separatist guerrillas lobbed grenades and fired at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers at Lal Chowk in the heart of the city here, authorities said.

Among those injured were two civilians and a camera-person of a news channel.

The guerrillas have entered a hotel and are firing on the security forces. The gun battle between the security forces and the guerrillas is on.

Senior police officers and CRPF personnel have rushed to the spot and the hotel has been cordoned off.
