Around 20 Germans training as terrorists in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Around 20 Germans are being groomed as terrorists in Pakistan camps close to the border with Afghanistan, according to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Most of them are Muslims who acquired German nationality, but there are also German converts to Islam, an ISI officer told DPA on condition of anonymity.

US citizens and Britons were also undergoing training in the camps, the officer said, adding that precise numbers were difficult to obtain because not all entered Pakistan legally.

Some travelled to Pakistan via the porous western border with Afghanistan or entered remote tribal areas from Iran.
