BANGALORE - Two more suspects in the 2008 serial blasts in Bangalore, arrested Friday, were sent to jail till Oct 25 by a court here, police said Sunday.

The two - Umar Farooq and Ibrahim Moulavi - were brought to Bangalore late Saturday and were produced before the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Venkatesh Hulagi who remanded them in judicial custody till Oct 25, a police spokesperson said Sunday.

Umar Farooq was held in Ajmer in Rajasthan and Ibrahim Moulavi in Kasargod in Kerala, Bangalore city police commissioner Shankar Bidari told reporters here Saturday.

The police have named 32 people in the charge sheet in the blasts case. Bidari said nine more suspects were absconding and “our information is they are staying in various countries”.

“We are making efforts to get them,” he added.
