18 killed in US drone attacks in Pakistan (Second Lead)

ISLAMABAD - At least 18 people were killed Saturday in three separate US drone attacks in Pakistan’s tribal area bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.

Three drone attacks Saturday within hours of each other killed 18 people in Datta Khel town in North Waziristan tribal region, Geo News said quoting intelligence officials.

“In the first attack two missiles were fired at a house and in the second attack four missiles targeted a house and a vehicle, while the third strike targeted another vehicle in the same area. The death toll in the three attacks reached 18,” an intelligence official said.

The US military increased its missile strikes against alleged rebels in tribal areas of Pakistan with 22 attacks last month that killed more than 124 people.
