LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — California is reeling from shock as a Mormon Bishop was shot to death. Clay Sannar, 40 was shot to death in the Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday. The perpetrator of his death was killed in an subsequent shoot out with the Police.
The assailant has been identified as Kenneth James Ward, former Congregation member. He was shunned to hell by the bishop in 1988. He had been bearing a grudge against him as he felt wronged. He kept the insult in his mind for decades until it burst out on Sunday. After the killing he called the Police and led them onto his childhood house. A shootout between him and the Police ensued. No Police man was hurt in the incident although Ward got shot several times. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Police Chief Colleen Mestas in a statement regarding the case said
We have several detectives out actively investigating this so we can come up with answers, especially for the family. It’s just tragic.
The church was devastated after the tragic news of Sannar’s death reached them. It is unclear how a mentally ill person such as Ward had access to such deadly fire arm. It seems that now is the time the Government made stringent policies on Fire arms distribution.
