CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA (GaeaTimes.com) — The host of South African version of ‘The Weakest Link’, Fiona Coyne has been found dead in her own house. Captain Stephen Knap, of Cape Town police, said Coyne’s housekeeper found the star’s body at her home in Fish Hoek on Wednesday.
Actress Fiona Coyne, 45, who had an uncanny resemblance to Anne Robinson, left two notes at her house before her death. One was addressed to her mother Doily Coyne and another for her housekeeper Zoleka Shumani. Coyne had reportedly made arrangements regarding her possessions prior to her death, including instructions to sell the house and divide the proceeds. Coyne had apparently also written that Ms Shumani could take anything in the house that she wished, including jewelry.
Police in Cape Town today said Coyne was found dead at her home in Fish Hoek and not in a car crash which had been reported earlier in the day. But they have refused to confirm reports that the lady has killed herself.
Although she was best known for presenting the Weakest Link in South Africa, Coyne was an accomplished theatre actress as well as communications specialist.
