RANCHI - A 25-kg landmine, planted on the roadside, was recovered in Jharkhand’s Latehar district Monday, police said.

The landmine was recovered near Kullinallha village of the district, around 130 km from Ranchi. It was later blown off by the bomb disposal squad.

Kullinallha is the same place where five state police personnel were killed in a landmine blast last month.

Police Sunday recovered five improvised explosive devices (IEDs), or home-made crude bombs, weighing between 25 kg and 35 kg, from Jaranga village of Khuti district, around 45 km from Ranchi.
