PATNA - Suspected Maoists have abducted four people in Bihar’s Rohtas district over a land dispute, police said Friday.

Over 40 armed guerrillas raided Tendua village in Rohtas, about 120 km from here, and abducted four villagers at gunpoint over a land dispute late Thursday.

They freed one man later, police said.

A case has been lodged and an operation launched to recover the abducted villagers.

Early this month, Maoist guerrillas abducted 11 villagers in Kaimur district but freed them later.
