Maoists kill tribal for being ‘police spy’

RAIPUR - Maoists shot dead a tribal civilian Saturday in Chhattisgarh’s troubled Bastar region, police said.

Sodhi Hunga, 40, was shot dead at his native village Kankerlanka in Dantewada district, some 500 km south of capital Raipur.

“Maoists shot him when he was ploughing his field in his native village. He was killed for allegedly spying for local police,” officials at the police headquarters here told IANS.
