18 militants die in Pakistani air raid

ISLAMABAD - Eighteen militants were killed and 10 others wounded Saturday when Pakistani fighter jets pounded rebel hideouts in the northwestern part of the country, officials said.

Several militant hideouts were destroyed in the attack in the country’s Orakzai tribal area, Xinhua reported. Meanwhile, ground troops have cordoned off the area.
