Maoist commander arrested in Jharkhand

RANCHI - A Maoist area commander was arrested in Jharkhands Latehar district Monday, police said.

According to the police, Satyendra alias Rabindra Oraon is an area commander of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist). He was arrested from Barbari Mandal Road of Latehar district, around 140 km from Ranchi.

A loaded pistol and live cartridges were recovered from him.
