Four killed in Turkey blast

ISTANBUL - At least four people were killed when a roadside bomb hit a minibus carrying military personnel in Istanbul Tuesday, Turkish media reported.
The blast occurred as the minibus was passing a cemetery on its way from a military housing complex.
One of the victims was the 17-year-old daughter of an officer. At least nine people on the bus were injured in the blast.
Huseyin Avni Mutlu, the governor of Istanbul, said the bomb was detonated by remote control, according to the state-run Anatolian Agency.
The bombing echoes a similar incident some two weeks ago, when a minibus in Istanbul carrying police officers was targeted by a roadside explosive device. Around 15 people were injured.
Initial reports have placed suspicion for the bombing on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
At least 18 people have been killed over the past few days in clashes between Turkish forces and the PKK.
