BAGHDAD - At least one person was killed and 22 were injured Monday in attacks targeting police in Iraq, police officials told DPA.

Several houses belonging to several policemen were bombed in various areas in Falluja, some 60 km west of the capital Baghdad, killing a civilian, police said. Nineteen people were injured in the attacks.

Police and armed forces cordoned off the scenes to prevent further attacks.

Falluja, the largest city in Anbar province, has been the scene of several attacks on policemen in recent months.

Three policemen were injured in a blast that targeted their patrol on a main road in al-Mansouriya area of Baquba city, 57 km northeast of Baghdad, police spokesman Ghaleb Attiya told DPA.
