Two killed in car blast in Russia

MOSCOW - Two people were killed and one person was injured in a car blast in Dagestan region of Russia Thursday, media reports said.
A car exploded on the outskirts of Toturbiikala in Khasavyurt region of Dagestan overnight Thursday. Two men were killed, and one was hospitalised with a grave wound after the car blast, the press service of the Dagestan interior ministry was quoted as saying by Itar-Tass news agency.
“It is not ruled out that the car was carrying a homemade explosive device,” it said.
A report by Xinhua news agency said the blast occurred at around 00.30 a.m. Moscow time (2030 GMT Wednesday).
Both the deceased and the injured man have been identified, Itar-Tass said.
Ten people including nine policemen were killed and 23 people were hospitalised after suicide bombers set off two blasts in the Dagestani city of Kizlyar Wednesday.
