Maoists ransack panchayat office in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR - Suspected Maoist rebels ransacked a panchayat office at Badadular in Orissa’s Malkangir district early Monday, police said.

“About 25-30 Maoists ransacked the office at Badadular and burnt official documents. We are trying to reach there,” Awinash Kumar, Malkangiri sub-divisional police officer, told IANS.

Malkangiri is more than 600 km from here.
