JAMMU - Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Monday condemned the killing of a Sikh man by suspected Taliban militants in Pakistan’s troubled North-West Frontier Region.
Terming the incident barbaric, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti in a statement here said: “PDP strongly condemns this inhuman act”.
“All right thinking people should condemn the killing of Sikh who was kidnapped a month ago for ransom,” she added.
Mufti expressed sympathy with the families of the killed Sikh and asked Pakistan authorities to take preventive steps to avoid recurrence of such incident in future.
Jaspal Singh and his two companions were abducted by Taliban militants recently. His beheaded body was found in Pakistan’s Peshawar city Sunday. His two companions, Gorwandar Singh and Surjeet Singh, are still being held captive by the militants for ransom, according to reports in Pakistan media.
