Two militants killed in gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir

JAMMU - Security forces killed two militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen outfit in a gunfight in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir Sunday, police said.
“Both terrorists of the Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen have been killed and the area is being searched now,” Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Jain said.
He said the militants were involved in a series of terror acts in and around Thanole area of Reasi district.
The gunfight started late Sunday afternoon when the security forces raided a hideout of militants in Thanore, a forested area in Reasi district, about 80 km north of Jammu.
There were two militants. One was killed late afternoon, while the second died after a nearly three-hour gunfight.
