SANA’A - At least 15 people were killed and more than 20 injured after a car bomb struck a religious procession in northwestern Yemen Wednesday, tribal sources said.

The sources said the victims were all followers of the Shia Muslim rebel al-Houthi group.

Witnesses said the car exploded as a convoy carrying dozens of Shia Muslim men was driving to a mountainous district in the northwestern province of al-Jawf to attend a religious ritual called al-Ghadeer.
