Five low-intensity blasts in Lahore, no casulties

LAHORE - Five minor blasts took place Friday evening in a thickly populated area of this Pakistani city but no casualties were reported.

According to Geo News, the blasts shattered the windowpanes of some houses and shops in the area near Tabi city police station.

Difa-e-Nazria-e-Pakistan has claimed responsibility of the blasts by sending an SMS to reporters five minutes before the blasts.

A high alert has been issued for the city, said Shafiq Gujjar, Lahore’s senior superintendent of police.
