20 injured in three blasts in Bangkok

BANGKOK - At least 20 people, including one foreigner, were injured Thursday in three consecutive blasts that rocked Thailand’s capital.
The explosions caused by M-79 grenades hit the third floor of the Sala Daeng elevated railway station in Bangkok’s main financial district of Silom, leaving at least 20 people injured, Sansern Kaewkamnerd, spokesman for the Centre for the Resolutions of Emergency Situations (CRES) said.
The blasts occurred around 08:00 p.m., 500 metres from Sala Daeng Intersection where the anti-government “red-shirts” protesters were holding demonstrations, the Nation news group said.
The number of injured has risen to 20, Xinhua reported quoting Channel-7.
Meanwhile, the Civil Court has ordered to temporarily prohibit Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva from using force to disperse the red-shirt protesters.
