PARIS - France suspended Saturday all incoming cargo flights from Yemen after parcels containing explosives were found on board two US-bound flights originating in the country.

The civil aviation authority DGAC had called on airlines to suspend all freight flights from Yemen “following the discovery on two planes of suspect parcels from Yemen, and the launch of an international alert by the US authorities”, it said in a statement.

According to US media reports the parcels were only discovered after a tip-off from the Saudi Arabian secret service.
