Murdered Kansas abortion doctor’s clinic for sale

WICHITA, Kan. — A “for sale” sign has been posted outside the Kansas medical clinic formerly operated by murdered abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.

Tiller was among the few late-term abortion providers in the U.S. before he was fatally shot in his church last year by anti-abortion activist Scott Roeder.

Tiller family attorney Lee Thompson said Thursday that the Wichita clinic has been up for sale for some time. He says the family declined comment. Tax records list its appraised value as $734,100.

David Gittrich of Kansans for Life says he mentioned the sign in an e-mail to members Thursday. He suggested buying the building to make it a memorial for “the babies who lost their lives.”

The clinic has been closed since Tiller’s death. Roeder is serving a life prison sentence.
