Three Arrested from Nassau for Salvage Car Garage Theft

NASSAU (GaeaTimes.com) — The police officials arrested three crooks on charges of theft this Sunday responding to Dell’s Garage on Route 43.
The trio were identified to be, Robert J. Hammell, 23, James W. Rivers Jr., 20, and his brother Joel D. Rivers, 16. The police suspect that behind these teenage faces there might be some big fish who is running the scam undercover. These three were allegedly caught in the act of stealing car parts from a salvage garage.
The Rivers brothers were arrested first followed by Hammell who was caught later in the day. They were remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail following convictions of larceny, conspiracy and felony criminal mischief in North Greenbush Town Court. According to police, bail for the Rivers brothers was set at $2,500 each while Hammell’s bail was set at $3,500.
This happens to be the second in a row incident this week. The rising percentage of theft cases persuaded the police to issue an alert. All the localites were advised to keep watch for suspicious activities and report immediately. Also they were advised to properly lock their cars and other properties to avoid these sort of crisis.
