Here are excerpts from some of 30 text messages Calumet County District Attorney Kenneth Kratz, 50, sent between Oct. 20, 2009 and Oct. 22, 2009 to Stephanie Van Groll, 26, while he was prosecuting Van Groll’s ex-boyfriend for nearly choking her to death.
