Philly police: 3 shot at Kraft Foods facility
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police say three people have been shot inside a Kraft Foods Inc. facility in the city’s northeast section.
Police Lt. Frank Vanore (vuh-NOR’) tells The Associated Press officers are at the plant of the nation’s largest food manufacturer. He says somebody inside opened fire Thursday night.
Police say no deaths are known.
Television footage shows workers leaving the Northfield, Ill.-based company’s plant, which used to be known as the Nabisco factory.
The Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper reports the shooter is a woman and about 100 people were inside but have been cleared out.
Several telephone calls and e-mails to Kraft haven’t been returned. Kraft makes products such as Oreo cookies, Philadelphia cream cheese and Oscar Mayer bacon.
