Detectives probe West Hollywood triple homicide

LOS ANGELES — Authorities searched Friday for whoever was responsible for a triple homicide in which three men were shot to death in a West Hollywood apartment.

The men, two of whom were brothers, were killed shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday and their killer or killers got away without anyone seeing them, said Los Angeles sheriff’s Detective Bill Marsh.

Residents of Kings Road Arms Apartments heard what they thought were firecrackers going off. They called the apartment manager, who went to investigate and found the door open and a body inside. He called the sheriff’s department and deputies found two more bodies in the apartment.

All were in different places in the open-plan unit and all had been shot to death.

The coroner’s office identified the men as Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27, his brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, 38, and Bernard Khalili, 27.

Marsh said the men were from the Middle East but did not say where.

No weapons or stolen goods were found in the home.

West Hollywood is an ethnically diverse city with a large gay population about 15 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

The apartment building is generally secure and peaceful, and investigators were keen to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard anything, Marsh said.

At least two of the men lived in the apartment.
