SEATTLE (GaeaTimes.com)-On Friday, the Seattle Police was able to arrest a fugitive sex offender who was scheduled to report back at a North Idaho jail on Thursday evening after a 24-hour of furlough. The police arrested 32-year-old Ferrell David Arnold from Seattle’s Myrtle Edwards Park where a crowd of hundreds and thousands of people had gathered for Hempfest. The Seattle Police was helped by a reporter and a photojournalist of the local KOMO 4 News who not only informed the police of Ferrell David Arnold’s presence in Hempfest but also provided them with useful clues.

Ferrell David Arnold of Coeur d’Alene was granted a day long furlough by the court on Wednesday. According to the court order the offender who was being held on a $100,000 bond for Forgery and Theft charges, was supposed to report back to the Idaho jail on Thursday evening. However, Ferrell David Arnold did not turn up at the jail and an arrest warrant was issued by the court for his arrest. On Friday as Bicycle police rode around the Hempfest trail, they initially failed to get spot the offender in the midst of the gathered crowd.

However, KOMO 4 News photojournalist Peter Mongillo and reporter Lindsay Cohen who were covering the outdoor festival Hempfest were quick to recognize the offender and went on to clarify their doubt. Lindsay Cohen asked Ferrell David Arnold a few questions and lastly ended the interview by asking his name and his place residence to which the latter replied “David Arnos” and added that he was from Coeur d’Alene. Alerted by the journalist, the police then pinned the offender down the Hempfest trail and handcuffed him.
